KKR - New IPL Champion

IPL (India Premiere League) in India has been a carnival of cricket; due to the cocktail of India’s two most entertaining sector on the same platform makes it a more vibrant and passionate among the Indians. We have been advocating IPL from last 5 years to the world and we have been giving the chance and to exposure some great young talents in India. For new players in India, it is an opportunity to showcase their talents and to share a dressing room with foreign players; on top of that they have been receiving handsome cheques from their respective franchises. 1st season was captured by Rajasthan Royal, and the other 3 times it was captured by Deccan Chargers and Chennai Super King. Best part is that CSK won it two consecutive times and this could have been their 3rd time. Defending champion CSK played like champion team and at last they were defeated by Kolkata Knight Riders.

This was KKR’s maiden victory in last 5 seasons but what a win. For four years they had fought hard to reach this place and finally in the fifth year they managed to reach here. They had a plan for each player and for each game they played. They were not that fast and furious team as a bowling unit; instead they had 3 vital spinners which turned the game for them in the entire season. Match after match they played as a team, they united and worked in such a way that someone clicked from the entire team in each match. Remember it was a long season and they dominated the entire championship like a real Knight Riders. Captain cool of CSK also managed a BIG smile and praised the brave attempt of KKR champs. Here we must have to praise KKR’s captain Gautam Gambhir who is India’s top class opening batsman and KKR’s captain. He hasn't only united the entire team but also prepared his entire team to fight against mighty Mahendra Singh Dhoni. MSD is a BIG name in India and in world cricket. MSD’s few achievements in the recent past are world Twenty20 champion, One Day champion, Stood first in test cricket and had won the IPL for two times. Top of Form

Gautam must have these facts and figures in his mind while competing with Dhoni’s CSK, but having said that Gautam on the other hand was well prepared this time and he worked on his team's strengths and analyzed on his opponent's weakness. In spite of his cheap dismissal in the finals Gautam and his team mates were confident enough to clinch the victory, Bisla from nowhere came to the ground and snatch the victory from CSK’s hand, and this is the power and believes that Gautam and his coach created in the minds of their team members.

Once, I wrote an article on Shahrukh Khan’s behavior on MCA episode. I was very annoyed on his behavior, similarly like me, many more in India who admires him must had felt bad. Actually he is like that, he is a passionate man and he only wants to WIN. I have seen his failures also and sometimes I feel that he is a man who can’t take failure in his life, but does that mean Shahrukh had never faced failure in his life. Oh come on I might be joking. No one in this life has tested success without testing failure in his/her life. I had even heard that he was without food for several days in Mumbai. Moreover in IPL too he tested failure for 4 long years and this time he and his entire team were desperate to win this title at any cost. He was overwhelmed by his team’s performance which lead him to do something mischievous in MCA episode but as a role model and as a celebrity Shahrukh must know his roles and responsibility in the society, He is the one who guides entire young wannabes to the right direction and he if starts doing something which we never expect him to do then it becomes a talk of the town and critics take the driver seat to say all which he as an actor and a respectable person will never like to hear.

After leading Kolkata Knight Riders to its maiden IPL title win, skipper Gautam Gambhir said the victory sends out a message that cricket is a team game and it is not confined to individual performances. Gambhir's strong reaction came when he was asked if team hoped of win when he himself was out early while chasing 191. He was also asked about spinner Sunil Narine's contribution in his side's impressive show this season. But the skipper asserted that his side was out to prove a point that it's the team that wins and deserves credit and not any individual. Gambhir got a bit irritated when he was asked about West Indian spinner Narine's contribution in team's success. "Since the first press conference I did, I've said I hate to talk about individuals. It was not about Sunil Narine. KKR has never been about one individual, whether that's me or someone else. There has been a lot of talk about my form. I got a hundred in Bangladesh, I had a decent ODI series, but it was not about that.

"We all wanted to prove to the nation that cricket is a team sport and credit should go to the team. If you want individual credit you should play tennis, badminton or some individual sport, not a team sport such as cricket. “From the first day I put this to the team: there will be no single day when the credit goes to an individual. Victory always belongs to the team. It was important to prove to the country that cricket is a team game, and hopefully we've gone some way in doing that," he said. When Gambhir was addressing the media, he was not smiling despite a memorable win. Asked about this, he said, "Maybe it has to sink in. Maybe when that happens I'll get a smile on my face. As I said, that's how I've been. It works for me. Being intense does not mean that you're always serious. Sometimes you just want to be in your shell and not show out too many emotions to the world. “When quizzed, how team co-owner Shah Rukh Khan reacted to the last-over win, Gambhir said the Bollywood star has been a good support and deserved this happiness, specially after a few controversies around him. “I can only guess that he should be happy. He's been a great owner. Not once in the tournament has he put any pressure on me or the team. Though we started by losing the first two games, he never interfered with the cricket aspects. “There has been the suggestion that he has interfered in the past, but ever since I was made captain he has not interfered with the cricket. That's the kind of owner you want. It was important for us to win it for him because he's seen a lot of lows and controversies, and when someone's done that it's important they get to savour success when it comes."Gambhir also had special mention for the Kolkata Knight Riders' fans. "KKR fans deserve every bit of the success. They've always backed us. I said this before as well: when things weren't going our way they stood by us, and we wanted to win it for them. This is not our victory; this is a victory for the fans of KKR. I just want to say thank you for all the support and love the fans have given us.

Nevertheless it was a great win from the KKR's point of view and we all appreciate and congratulate Gambir and entire KKR team on their maiden IPL victory and wish them many more such IPL victories in the future!

A LITTLE BOY AT A BIG PIANO

Wishing to encourage her young son's progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her.

Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door
marked "NO ADMITTANCE." When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing.

Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw
her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing."

Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running obbligato. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was mesmerized.

That's the way it is in life. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best, but the results aren't exactly graceful flowing music. But when we trust in the hands of a Greater Power, our life's work truly can be beautiful.

Next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully...

You can hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing ."

Do it now.

Rajiv Gandhi we miss you

21st of May is the day when Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated leaving the entire nation in shock. Rajiv Gandhi as a person and as a Prime Minister was always adorable. He is one of the youngest leaders India has ever produced. His style of speech was unique and one could easily identify his voice on radio or on television. Scions of the Nehru-Gandhi family have contributed significantly to the political history of India during the freedom struggle and after gaining independence. During the India’s freedom struggle, Motilal Nehru & Kamla Nehru played pivotal roles. Their son, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and his daughter Indira Gandhi were very popular and distinguished leaders who became Prime Ministers of India. Their styles of work and leadership qualities were entirely different. Especially, Mrs. Indira Gandhi was very aggressive in her approach. Her son, Rajiv Gandhi, was also a young, passionate leader who was very down to earth. His vision and aspirations were different and his tenure as a prime minister was also in different era as compared to former two Prime ministers of Gandhi family. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru became India’s first Prime minister after Independence. His tenure was in between poverty, financial crisis and attack from China. Even after so many challenges he was still able to prove to the entire world what a terrific leader and a tough human being he was. India’s first woman Prime Minister, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, on the other hand, was passionate, aggressive and disciplined leader throughout her life. In 1971, she took a bold decision to save Bangladesh from Pakistan’s attack. She sent her troops in Bangladesh and freed Bangladesh from Pakistan’s domination. It is still regarded as a great gesture and we all salute what she did for Bangladesh. This act of her also sent a strong message to other neighboring countries that India couldn’t be considered as underdog any more.
Rajiv Gandhi became Prime minister after her mother’s assassination in New Delhi. It was a tough time for him as he himself was not in India at that point in time. He had by then married Sonia who was from Italy. Rajiv Gandhi also faced huge challenges in his tenure but never surrendered to any of the challenges he faced. Rajiv Gandhi, for the very first time, went beyond borders to modernize India. He also worked towards making India as one of the most powerful nation in the world. He is also considered as “FATHER OF COMPUTERS IN INDIA”. He was the one who brought the concept of computers to India and made people aware what a magnificent machine it is and how India could benefit from it.  Rajiv Gandhi also forged new friendships with different developed countries and bought Bofors to strengthen India’s military power.  This Bofors played a major role in cornering the enemies in Kargil war. Unfortunately, Bofors also brought a lot of criticism with it for him. Later in the court it was proved that nothing wrong was done by Rajiv, which I am sure would have helped his soul to attain tranquility and serenity in the heaven. Rajiv was attending all his goals year after year and was a respect icon in India, not because he was a Prime minister of our country but because of his hard work, perseverance and for achieving all his goals. As they say, good people unknowingly develop a lot of hidden and unwanted enemies and that’s what happened with him. In Coimbatore, on an official tour to address an election rally for the ongoing National elections, he was assassinated by a lady human bomb and she was member of LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam). It was yet another bad day for Gandhi family and for India as India lost yet another of its patriots which left a huge void in Indian politics.
On this day, we salute Mr. Rajiv Gandhi for what he was and what he did for India. His wife, Sonia Gandhi is doing well as the President of Indian National Congress and that day is not far when we will see Rahul Gandhi, son of Rajiv Gandhi on the seat of Prime Minister. We all Indians are with Sonia and entire Gandhi family on this day and we wish them all the best for their future endeavor!!!!

Be a Man

How often have you heard this line, “Be a Man” ? This is famous among all the teens or young wannabes. I myself have heard this, a lot of times, especially when my friends want me to do something mischievous! This one liner changes its role as we move on from being a teen to become young adult of 20’s and then after a decade, we come and knock the door of 30’s. With the growth, we acquire education and become a professional in our respective fields, but that one line remains as it is with almost the same meaning - winning all battles ranging from small to large which also tends to inflate man’s ego from small to medium, then large and finally extra-large. Be a Man also means you need to be perfect at least in all those fields which have been dignifying the role of Man in the world - physical harassment to female, beating someone weaker than you, earning money and showing your partner that you are the leader of your home and you are the only decision making body. You as Man can do everything outside your home, but when you see your own partner doing the same, you think that she has committed a sin. If your partner or someone younger to you gives feedback on any issue, you feel bad and your tons of ego gets hurt and you tend to take action on that person, but why? Oh yes, because of that one line which has been embedded 2-3 decades ago by your friends / relatives / parents. If you are not able to produce a baby for any x, y or z reason, you or your so called society gives you a certificate that you are not a man. If you as a man are not able to support your family with your hard earned money even then you don’t allow your partner to go out to work and help you financially, but why? Because, you think she might get hooked onto someone else, or rather your ego will again not allow you to tolerate this, as you are a man and how can your wife support you or your family or how come she can earn more than you. How disgusting or correct it is from all men’s perspective, probably, I leave this up to all you so called men.

In my opinion, Man is also a human being and a human being will look good, if he does all those things which God has guided him to do. Man is a backbone of any society. We have courageous man like Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi in the history who fought with mighty umpires to throw them out of their respective countries. Dilip Kumar a great Bollywood actor married 2 females in his life with no baby, but does that mean he is not a man, off course not, he is much better than millions of men in the world. Man is the one who, in spite of all sorts of problems, stands straight and fight with them. Man is one who fights with the situation and live like a normal person after loosing both his legs in an accident. Man is one who is extremely kind hearted. Man is one who can forget and forgive. Man is one who never keeps his foot on other’s shoulder to move up the ladder and achieve his personal goals. Man is the one who protects his family, loves his parents, wife and entire human being.

It is very easy to say that I am a Man, or Be a Man. Be a Man eventually means, something entirely different and out of the world. Man means courage, kindness, understanding, believing others, developing trust, living a differentially-abled life with a BIG smile on your face, living life like a legionnaire on every single day. Respect and love the poor, respect women and trust your counterparts then only one can actually say, yes I am a man, otherwise you don’t have the right to say that you are a Man or tell others to  “Be a man”. Let’s act like a man and be a man, as this world really needs true men to decrease the number of incidents of thefts, murders, rape, molestation and terrorism, because a true man will never think of doing all these cowardly heinous acts in this beautiful world. So, for Jesus, let’s be a Man.

Super Star to Super Goon – Sharukh Khan

Indians Love Cricket, Foods, Films and People associated with them. To name a few when we say Cricket, first name which hits our brain is the Great Sachin Tendular, if its foods then it would be Sanjeev Kapoor and if its films then in the current days it would obviously be Super Star Shahrukh Khan. Why Shahrukh Khan and why not Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar or Amir Khan? Well there is a reason, now a days Shahrukh is the only personality who is associated with both Films and Cricket, so the obvious choice would be him only.
Shahrukh is also in lime-light because one that he owns an IPL team (Indian Premiere League) that is Kolkata knight Riders and second Because of the incident that happened in Wankhede stadium a few days back. His team KKR won a tough battle with Mumbai Indians in one of the IPL matchs and he was so excited and happy that he over-dozed himself with liquor, as per MCD officials he used very foul languages with all the people as he was barging into the stadium even after switching the flood lights off. He was with his kids who eventually were not even understood as what was happening at that point in time, but overall a super star whom so many people around the world see as a role model will not take much of positives with them. As per Media and MCD officials he was not in his senses and not even aware as what all activities he was doing. He was battling with himself and his so called ego.
In India, we see him as one of the greatest actors which Bollywood have ever produced, but look at the greatest actor. Although, he is dragging the issue further by pulling his kids into it, as per him an old security staff forcefully stopped his kids to enter into the ground, whereas, MCD officials and security staff says that they politely asked the kids not to enter the ground anymore which is quite obvious as per rule book.
Further, Shahrukh has travelled a long distance to became a Super Goon and to add onto his problems MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) has taken a decision to ban SRK to enter into Wankhede Cricket Stadium for complete 5 years. just think of a situation, a super star, a heart throb of millions, a co-owner of IPL team has been ruled out to enter into Mumbai Stadium where his entire team in the current days and years to come would be playing, what a shame! Hence, it is always advisable not to take liquor in large quantity Mr. SRK, otherwise anyone, even of your stature could lose the impression which you have made in so many years! Mr. SRK, we would love to see the same old Shahrukh whose shoes was completely grounded, passionate about what he use to do, we would like to see that Shahrukh for whom entire country use to take pride and use to fight and raise their voice when American officials stopped you in the airport for the general enquiry. Come back soon, we all miss you!!

A session with Chetan Bhagat

Chetan Bhagat is not a new name in the city any more, I have personally read a lot of books and articles that was bestowed to us by him, and he is real and has achieved most of his desires which actually hit his adrenal glands. He is one guy who believes in innovation through whatever he does. He is good author to a lot of books, a lot of films have been made successfully like Hello and Three Idiots, and he has been writing a lot of articles in different newspapers both in Hindi and English.
I got an exquisite opportunity to listen to him in one of our Strategic meet in Taj Hotel in Delhi. According to him he has always made his life exciting by developing a new “S” curve in his life. He started with writing books, initially publishers didn’t liked his write-ups but later on with a lot of persistence and perseverance he finally got a chance and wrote so many good fiction books. When he was in the verge of completing his books he always use to think of writing something new and this is how he uses to keep himself motivated. After books, he thought of seeing his books getting converted into movies, after that he started writing articles, followed by Internet, social networking and blogs. These were the sequence of activities he thought before finishing his current job in hand to avoid monotonous. By initiating all these activities he has been earning good and at the same time he has been able to convey his message and points to 50 million people across the country or rather world. What a way to lead life, he have money, millions of followers and doing great bit of work by educating and transforming his positive ideas among these young wannabes in the country.
Before attending this meeting I was a dull 12 years old employee of an MNC in Delhi and was not able to motivate myself with all possible things which I was doing, finally this idea of “S” curve actually motivated me and paved a path to think out of the box to do something which I really like in my personal and professional life. By the grace of God and with that session of Chetan, helped to start writing my Blogs, I have started taking a flurry of new initiatives in my own company and have been receiving huge appreciations and awards. I have also started taking interest in NGO volunteering works, which I was thinking to join from long time. I have been convincing my friends to do the same to feel that motivation and positive energy. I hope all you people out there will take lesson from this one incident of mine and will start creating so called “S” curve in your life, All the best!! Cheers!!!
