Peace of Mind

Most people would be glad to have some peace of mind in their life. They would be
happy to forget their troubles, problems and worries, and enjoy a few moments of inner calmness and freedom from obsessing thoughts.

What is peace of mind? It is a state of inner calmness and tranquility, together with a sense of freedom, when thoughts and worries cease, and there is no stress, strain or fear. Such moments are not so rare. They may be experienced while being engaged in some kind of an absorbing or interesting activity, such as while watching an entertaining movie or TV program, while being with someone you love, while reading a book or while lying on the sand at the beach.
When you are on vacation, do you experience some sort of mental numbness? At this time, the mind becomes calmer, with fewer thoughts and fewer worries. Even while you are deeply asleep, not aware of your thoughts, you are in a state of inner peace.

Such activities, and similar ones, take away the mind from its usual thoughts and worries, and bring about temporary inner peace.

The question is, how to bring more peace of mind into our life, and more importantly, how to experience it in times of trouble. You might also ask whether it is possible to make it a habit, and enjoy it always and under all circumstances.

First, you need to learn to bring more moments of inner peace into your daily life. Later, you will be able to experience these moments in times of trouble or difficulties too, when you really need inner calmness and tranquility.
here are a few simple things that can help you:
  • Reduce the amount of time you read the newspapers or watch the news on TV.
  • Stay away from negative conversations and from negative people.
  • Don't hold grudges. Learn to forget and forgive. Nurturing ill feelings and grievances hurts you and causes lack of sleep.
  • Don't be jealous of others. Being jealous means that you have low self-esteem and consider yourself inferior to others.
  • Jealousy and low self esteem, often lead to lack of inner peace.
  • Accept what cannot be changed. This saves a lot of time, energy and worries.
  • Every day we face numerous inconveniences, irritations and situations that are beyond our control. If we can change them, that's fine, but this is not always possible. We must learn to put up with such things and accept them cheerfully.
  • Learn to be more patient and tolerant with people and events.
  • Don't take everything too personally. Some emotional and mental detachment is desirable. Try to view your life and other people with a little detachment and less involvement. Detachment is not indifference, lack of interest or coldness. It is the ability to think and judge impartially and logically. Don't worry if again and again you fail to manifest detachment. Just keep trying.
  • Let bygones be gone. Forget the past and concentrate on the present moment. There is no need to evoke unpleasant memories and immerse yourself in them.
  • Practice some concentration exercises. This will help you to reject unpleasant thoughts and worries that steal away your peace of mind.
  • Learn to practice meditation. Even a few minutes a day will make a change in your life.

Inner peace ultimately leads to external peace. By creating peace in our inner world, we bring it into the external world, affecting other people too.

OOPPPSS WHO STOLE MY ENERGY?

One Fine morning, I got up and said,” ohhhhh I am not feeling well, severe headache followed by body ache, I said to my self probably today is not that great day for me…..

Believe me, as soon as I said, these words within my self in my brain, I started feeling drowsy and also started seeing every thing negative, starting from my mom-dad, to my maid to my sister, every one got bad treatment from me………

In the office I shouted on my juniors, I argued with my seniors and on my way I scolded my driver for every single wrong turns and red light jumps, however on the other days, I would have given him a 50Rs. to bring me in the office on time….

In the evening after returning form my office, I was not feeling well, mom-dad and my sister, no one was entering my room and I was feeling a bit left out…I thought of doing a bit of REKI and Meditation. After sitting for 10 mints, I was just analyzing as what went wrong and the WORD "FRUSTRATION", "ENERGY", was hitting my brain time and again….

I again gone into my deep brain and soul and was trying to find out the answer and finally realized that no one in this world can stole any one’s energy, while I was diving again and again into my sub conscious mind,  picture was getting more and more clearer….

Finally, I got the answer, that it was me who tackled the situation wrongly and created a bad mood for my self and finally messed-up with every single person who touched my life on that particular day. I tried to further analyze my mistakes and found that I was the only one who stole and wasted my own energy….

Next Day, I was again not well, but this time, I changed my whole perspective and said few words to my self, today the day is really going to be rocking, this is the best day, I have been allocated by my Jesus and I will take full advantage of this day, I also murmured few sentences like “day by day by every way I am getting better and better” also “If God be for me, who can be against me”…..

Then what, I started feeling a bit energetic, My body ache started reducing, I kissed my Mom and said sorry, My sister Hugged me and said, we love you, My colleagues, juniors and even my driver was giving a good look and was talking to me with full cream voice, I started getting my answers, picture was quite clear and I thought, probably, I am the best person in this world with so many people loves and cares about me….

In the evening, after returning back from my office, I was just talking to my self that only uttering few positive words, exactly after waking up in the morning and by keeping my head cool has lent me so many good things in my life, then why do we say, I am totally drained and lost all my energy after coming back from office or even just before waking-up in the morning…….Eventually, no one stole any body's energy, it is we who mess around with nature and our sub-conscious mind and loose every single thing which we already posseses….Our subconscious mind is the most strongest part in brain which works 24*7 and 365 days in a year, whatever thoughts we generate, it keeps on working till the time it gets finished. It also does not understand jokes, so, never even in jokes say any thing negative and if you do so then it will be you who is gonna pay for the consequences.

Friends, Keep this factor in mind, no one frustrates you, no one steels your energy, it is you, your nature and style and the way you see your life sucks your energy, more like a vacuum cleaner, so keep your vacuum cleaner away and try to live life with all positive thoughts in your mind….

Hope to see you all taking positives from this story and will take full advantage and will rock every single day in your respective life. All the best!

How to Win the Lost Battle

World is a beautiful place to live in. We all come to this world with a hidden purpose, with a hidden task allocated by God to each one of us. We need to learn things and reincarnate to further add values and learning’s to our spiritual self. Every day thousands and thousands of spirits are taking birth with a purpose. Even God has not escaped from this universal truth. When Lord Rama came into this world, entire Ayodhya along with World rejoiced. They sang, danced and enjoyed to the fullest, however, Lord Rama was crying. Robin Sharma a famous author has rightly said in his best selling book,” Who will cry when you will die”. We need to mould our life in such a way that, when you will come in this world, you will cry and others will smile whereas, when you will leave this world everyone will cry and you will smile. What a great thought provoking statement it is. Lord Rama, who himself was God still led a miserable life. He spent 14 years in a forest, with his wife Sita and his younger brother Lakshman. He had his own battle in his hand, which he successfully able to finish with power, love and dignity. We all know him with his popular name called Purshottam, Which means best human-being in the history of mankind.

Like Lord Rama, each one of us comes to this world with a task and a goal. Although, life doesn’t seems to be a peace of cake. You need to overcome every single hurdle to reach the next level, very much like Lord Rama who scored cent percent in all the battle he fought. Actually, Lord Rama won his battle because he had recognized his goal for coming to this world. He acquainted him self with the right kind of education through out his life. He was focused; he was calm at each point of crisis and always believed his inner conscious and his self instinct. In the same way, maneuvering things in life is very important. You need to identify, what is your goal for coming in to this world. What is that which you want to do in life? Hence, aim seems to be the first ingredients for winning your battle. When you have your aim ready, you need to understand as what kind of studies you need to acquire. Once you are though with your studies, you start your small steps towards your Goal. Start practicing things, which you have learnt, start mastering it by practicing, which you know is your tool in a long run in terms of achieving your personal goal. However, one thing we must need to keep in our mind, that what ever we are doing, we are doing it for the sake of learning, which God wants us to learn, that is why probably you have been sent by God to this mother Earth. Now, once you are ready with your learning and tools, start implementing things towards that Goal. For example, Sachin Tendulkar, who has been sent on this earth to experience love, name, fame, wealth, health and power. He at the age of 5 started raising his bat and at the age of 15 he was in between all the renowned cricket players, leaving them far behind and is still on with his talent, which he acquainted over a period of 35 years. This is very much like Lord Rama, who first learned things and finally at the age of 20, he killed half of the devils from this earth. He had a purpose, a purpose to clean this earth, a purpose to save the earth from these mighty devils.

Winning a battle needs a lot of hard work, a lot of patience, a lot of dare to fail. I have read a book called DARE TO FAIL. This book really trained my mind to accept the fact that we need to learn the knack of accepting the failure. Failure is a ladder to success. If failure is not there that means you are not learning and most importantly not growing. Famous and winning personalities like Amitabh Bachhan, Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly, Thomas Elva Edition and many more, all failed in their initial career.  Amitabh Bachhan was rejected by Doordarshan, stating that his voice is not good enough for Radio’s, but look, today we identify this gentleman with his voice. Once, I saw one interview of Mr. Anupam Kher who is a leading actor Director in Indian Film Fraternity. According to him, once when he was in 9th Grade, his father came from office and told him, that he wants to take him to a good restaurant. At that point of time, Kher family use to go for dinning only once in a blue moon. Anupam after hearing this was surprise, but he never wanted to waste this opportunity to dine with his father and that too in that beautiful restaurant. On the dinning table, they ordered some good food followed by sweet dish and ice-cream. Anupam asked his father as what is the occasion. Why have they come to restaurant without any specific reason? His father said he went to his school and collected his final report card. Anupam thought, he must have got some distinction and hence, his shoulder spread a bit. His father said he has failed in his 9th grade. Anupam’s face became red hot in humiliation and was surprised to have this party from his father. He asked his after, then why we are here and what are we celebrating for? His father’s answer changed Anupam’s and mine life as well. He said” Son we are here to celebrate your failure, I want you to remember this moment, so that you can never panic when you fail in your entire life”. What a bold and though provoking statement it was. It gave a huge-huge confidence to Mr. Anupam Kher and look where is he today. He has won National Award, Zee award and some big prestigious wards in his struggle full career.

This is a big-big point, which we all need to understand, that failure is nothing, but it is a standard set by our community, by our scholars, to measure how we are doing, but that does not mean, that we are not trying and learning. Winning the lost battle needs huge amount of courage, perseverance, patience and knowledge. I want to share another great example of winning the lost battle. Corporate guru Mr. Pramod Batra shared this example in one of his motivational book. Once there was a milk man in Faridabad. He uses to go for distributing milk in Faridabad on his Rajdoot motor bike. On both sides of the bike he uses to hang huge containers of milk which was beautifully colored. One day while he was going on his way, he saw some problem with his bike; hence he left his bike over there and went to fetch the mechanic for repairing the bike. Some of the local children’s were playing, saw a motor bike with milk container. These mischievous kids prepared a plan and some how got two huge size frogs from near by pond. They put each Frogs on two different containers and closed the lid. First Frog saw, that he is in great trouble. He first, tried to open the lid which was impossible, he than tried to bore the container which was again next to impossible and finally after some time give up and drowned into the milk. However, second one also did the same thing but in addition to this he analyzed his strength and weakness. He was very much aware that neither he can open the lid nor he can bore the container to come out of it. Hence, he thought what best he can do to survive till this milkman opens the lid. He quickly understood that God has given him a great talent to swim on the surface of any liquid. He then started swimming over the milk; he kept on swimming till he produced the lump of milk. As soon as the lump was thick, he jumped onto the lump to save his energy and life. Finally, when milkman opened the lid out he jumped with his full power. This is how we need to think and act in the time of crisis. He won his battle, only after acquainting the process of swimming, only after analyzing the strengths and weaknesses. He was persistent and was clever enough to maneuver things quickly. He not only saved his life but also gave us a strong message across. We will come across with a lot of difficulties, difficulties like that of intelligent frog, who with his seer commitment and will power over-come the hurdles and finally succeeded. Not like the first frog who gave up easily. Although, first frog was also acquainted with the same quality but he never analyzed and realized and hence, died and failed.

You need to be clear, that what ever you are doing is what you like the most. If you like to play cricket and your inner voice is saying that this is what is you goal, this is why you are here in this world than why not? Go ahead and listen to your inner voice and give your best short. You need to be as focused as an ant who tries hundred times to climb the wall. Each time it falls on the ground, it only increases his will and determination. Every failure is keys to success. From every fall she learns a lesson and utilizes that lesson to over come her hurdles. Finally, after hundredth try she manages to climb the wall successfully. I read a book called THINK and RICH GROW by Neapolian Hill. According to that book once a group of worker who was working for Edison, while inventing fluorescent bulbs, came to him and said, we have failed 1000th times. After listening to this Mr. Edition said” Don’t say that you have failed 1000th time, instead say we have learned 1000 different things and we are coming closer and closer to success”. This was really amazing. We need to take only positives from our failure. We need to use different information, which we have had extracted only after our failures. One, who does not learn from his mistakes, will never attain success in his/her life.

The entire example coated in this article proves that maneuvering, educating, practicing, perseverance and dare to accept failure will certainly lead us to success. We will be able to win all our lost battle because then God also checks your honesty. We need to be pretty sure that while battling, we are not snatching the happiness of others. We are not hurting or we are not winning it in a wrong way. We need to be pure from our heart; we need to be absolutely error free, when it comes to wining our battle. Once you focus and realize all the points mentioned in this article, God will himself come to you and will guide you and help you to achieve your Goal. Very much like the other mentioned in this article. They all have gone through with a huge amount of sacrifice, hard work and at the same time tried to hurt others as less as possible. I wish all my readers a very successful life! May you win all your battles with dignity!
